Northland's top grade squash players have been found, which means they now have the opportunity to compete at the New Zealand Grade Championships in November in Christchurch.

Squash ace Max Trimble claimed the men's A grade title after having just been promoted to the A grade by beating experienced Kerikeri player Mal McBain in the final.

The match-up earlier this month was a rematch after the pair had met at the Kerikeri Open earlier in the year, which had gone to five with Trimble winning on that occasion also.

In the ladies B grade final, Jacinta Matson and Fiona Moselen played off which also saw youth pitted against experience, and, once again youth had the day with Matson taking the title.

Abbie Palmer and Sacha Pou Tito battled it out in the A grade ladies final, with Palmer having won the last encounter between these two.

However, Pou Tito dug deep as she claimed the win and the A grade ladies title in the process.

The senior players can now look to their respective club champs and the junior players have one more local tournament, the Kerikeri juniors, this weekend and many will be travelling to Junior Nationals in Napier in a week's time.

The finals results and title holders for 2013 are:
