Silence still surrounds reports that Northland MP Mike Sabin is under police investigation of an assault complaint.
It has also been reported that the investigation is in the hands of police in Waitemata police, although the allegation is believed to have arisen from an incident in Northland.
Yesterday, a spokesmanfor Prime Minster John Key said Mr Key would not comment as it was a matter for the police to comment on.
Mr Sabin has not returned calls from the Northern Advocate to discuss the allegations.
