Do you know this man? He is wanted for questioning relating to a dairy robbery.

Northland police say the man pictured in the above CCTV image is wanted for questioning in connection with the aggravated robbery of a Dargaville dairy.

Police said a man went into the Hilltop Dairy on Awakino St about 4.15pm on Tuesday and pointed a long-barrelled firearm at the woman proprietor, who was alone in the store.

The robber made off with cash and packets of cigarettes, fleeing on foot along Awakino Rd towards Ranfurly St. The woman was left traumatised, but uninjured, by the ordeal.

The robber, whose age is unknown, is of thin to medium build and about 170-180 cm tall.

He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, white peaked cap, sunglasses, grey trousers and sports shoes. He possibly had a red bandanna around the lower part of his face and neck. Anyone who sees the suspect is not to approach him but to contact police, who are also asking the public to be vigilant and immediately report any suspicious behaviour around dairies and shops in the Dargaville area.
