Kerikeri's Turner Centre celebrated its 10th anniversary with a variety concert showcasing the best of Far North kapa haka, opera, rock, piano, dance, comic theatre and song.

Among the performers at the August 5 show were Bay of Islands College cultural group Te Roopu oPewhairangi, the Bay of Islands Singers, Northern Dance Academy, Tony Harrison's band Rangitane Riot, talented young piano students, Kerikeri Theatre Company with a risqué play about the Grim Reaper getting lucky in a retirement home, and singers Daniel Morrison and Tania Priebs, who also starred in the Turner Centre's first show.
Two acts stole the show: Singers Selwyn Kauwiti (of Northland College) and Daniel Morrison (ex-Bay of Islands College), performing a duet from Pearl Fishers by Bizet; and Te Pito Whenua, Waitangi Treaty Grounds' resident cultural group with a specially choreographed show, which included a tribute to the soldiers of the 28th Maori Battalion.
The centre was opened by then Prime Minister Helen Clark on August 5, 2005.
