Warriors during the powhiri to welcome politicians.

Hundreds of people turned up to a celebration of Ngati Manu MPs at Karetu Marae on Saturday.

The small marae near Kawakawa put on a powerful welcome for special guests, including Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

The event was a celebration of Ngati Manu MPs including Te Tai Tokerau MP Kelvin Davis, Tamaki Makaurau MP Peeni Henare, Labour list MP Willow-Jean Prime, Minister for Maori Development and Local Government Nanaia Mahuta, and Te Tai Tonga MP Rino Tirikatene.
