Berry was the first professional commencing his duties in late 1975, a highly respected and popular member.
Quenton Diment was the resident professional from 2001 to 2014 and enjoyed considerable success during his tenure as the coach of the highly successful Whangarei Boys High School (WBHS) golf team.
Among WBHS's victories were the Asia Pacific World Schools Tournament in Australia in 2012 and the defence of their title in Thailand the following year.
They have also won the National Secondary Schools title in New Zealand several times.
Quenton has since relocated to China where he is involved in coaching.
The club holds weekly men's events on Tuesdays and Thursdays which attract fields of up to 70.
These prove to be popular, as does a nine-holers section for men and women whose club day is on Wednesdays.
