It was the second time Kapowairua, who attends Kura Kaupapa Maori o Te Rangi Aniwaniwa, had busked and the first time for Te Koha, who attends Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Pukemiro. However, they are not new to performing.
Both girls competed in Far North's Got Talent 2017 with Kapowairua taking first place in the junior section and Te Koha coming second.
