Tony Murrell from RadioLIVE, will be the show's celebrity guest.

The annual More FM Northland Home and Living Show opens its doors at the ASB Stadium Kensington, on Friday 15 August to a large range of exhibitors offering from home wares to flooring through to security and more. Whether you are building, buying, renovating or just looking for the best in home living, the 2014 three day show will have over 70 different exhibits all under the one roof.

Mitre 10 Home and Garden Show host Tony Murrell from RadioLIVE, will be the show's celebrity guest and is sure to liven up the show on Sunday when he will be on the Mitre 10 MEGA Whangarei stand to host two entertaining and informative landscaping sessions. Murrell is sure to have a large following of people at the 11am and 1pm sessions which he will lead. Tony is New Zealand's foremost Landscape Designer and has over 20 years' experience in the industry, beginning his career in broadcasting on TV ONE's hit show 'Mucking In' and TV3's 'Ground Force'. These days, as well as his RadioLIVE show, he is nationally recognised for his book 'Garden Designs to Enhance Your Life', as well as the work he produces through his own landscape design company and his guest appearances and live shows he presents, all around the country. Show visitors are sure to get some good tips from the experienced and knowledgeable Murrell

North Haven Hospice has again partnered with this year's show, as the show organisers have once again removed the cost of entering the show in favour of donations being made to the charity. As well as collecting on the day, North Haven Hospice Volunteers will assist the visitors at the show. Last year the partnership with the More FM Northland Home and Living Show raised over $8,000 for the charity. Thanks to Mitre 10 MEGA Whangarei, all adults who visit the show and donate to North Haven Hospice, will go into the draw to win a trailer filled with goods from Mitre 10 MEGA Whangarei, valued at over $2,500.

More FM Northland Home and Living Show organiser Azelia Parkinson is delighted with the range and quality of sites that have booked for this year's show. "This year we have nine housing companies signed up, so to have so many choices under the one roof is a real bonus to prospective house builders and renovators" she says. "Housewares, security, hardware, painting, spa pools, pumps and tanks, DIY, guttering, wardrobes, kitchen and interior design specialists are all there as well as some unusual services that will create some interest -- even to free hearing checks and an artist".

Potter Electrical, who is this year's official show electrician, will also have a stand showing some lighting and home automation options that can enhance your home or office.

Baristas will be represented from cafes from throughout Northland and will battle it out for the top spot. Last year Michelle Berkers, from Whangarei's Nectar Cafe, took out the top honours as the Northland Barista of the Year.

Doors open daily at 10am this Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the More FM Northland Home and Living Show at the ASB Stadium Kensington. Remember entry is free however a donation to North Haven Hospice would be appreciated.
