The driver of a moped whose bike skidded 100 metres after he and another vehicle collided escaped with moderate injuries.
The collision happened just before 5pm on Monday, outside Otangarei's Jack St shops.
The man on the moped was pulling out of the shops' car park when the
two vehicles hit.
The people mover was travelling south-east towards Cairnfield Rd.
Witnesses told police the man was thrown about 15m, landing underneath a parked car, Sergeant Shane Turner said. The man's moped skidded 100m.
