Police are investigating the death of a man in the car park of a Kaitaia supermarket.
At about 8.30am today police were called to Pak'n Save, on North Rd, after the body of the man was located by the supermarket's staff. Ambulance also attended the scene.
Ten police are nowcarrying out a scene examination and the supermarket is still open.
Police are not revealing any details around the circumstances or cause of death while investigation is in its early stages.
