Kaitaia crash leaves one dead, two injured; police investigate

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash overnight.

One person has died in a crash in Kaitaia.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash on Allen Bell Drive around 2.10am, police said.

The passenger of the vehicle died at the scene and two others were taken to hospital with moderate to serious injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit completed a scene examination and inquiries are ongoing.
