The helicopter buzzing around Whangarei's Mt Parihaka this morning is dropping materials for the upgrade of the tracks.

All three tracks in Whangarei's central city Parihaka Reserve are being upgraded one after the other. Work started on the Drummond track started in mid February.

The tracks' drainage and surfaces will be improved, box steps will be installed and the tracks will be widened and levelled.
