Firefighters respond to Whangārei house fire, residents safe

Crews have attended a house fire in Whangārei overnight.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said they were called to the fire in Maunu around 3.18am.

Five trucks were currently at the scene and crews were working to contain and extinguish the fire, the spokesperson said.

Everyone inside escaped safely.
