Finn Trimble and Natalie Sayes took out the Northland Open titles for 2018 at Whangārei Squash Club last weekend.

Whangārei's Finn Trimble defended his Northland Men's Open title for the third year running, meeting club mate and training partner Shaun Sansom once again in the final. Trimble won in a tight four sets.

Third place in the Men's Open was Waikato player Courtenay Coetzee who beat Riley-Jack Vette Blomquist (Manaia club).

Natalie Sayes (Auckland) will get her name on the trophy for the first time after winning the Women's Open final in a hard-fought five-set battle against multiple Northland Open winner Sacha Pou-Tito.

The third and fourth place game in the Women's Open was played out between Maungaturoto's Annmarie Holst and Anna Moselen (Kamo) with Holst taking the win.
