At the close of play, Maungakaramea were 56 for one with Joe O'Sullivan not out 29 after Bert Horner was out bowled by Chamodh Peiris and caught Lobb in the 18th over.
Kamo are in a good position against City, after making 297 runs and having City stranded on 60 for two overnight.
Leading the way for Kamo was Ben Hyde, who scored 98 and was gutted not to be able to bring up three figures.
"Yes it was [gutting]," he said yesterday. "We batted pretty well, right the way through we formed good partnerships, so did well.
"It's a pretty good pitch [in Kamo]. We'll have to bowl well [to get the win]. We're third [overall] and hoping to book a spot in the final with a few results."
Also scoring runs was Logan Choat, who chipped in with 75. Cam Johnson took both of Kamo's wickets.
In the weekend's other match, Kaipara scored 375 batting first. In reply, Onerahi Central were 90 for one, with Henry Cooper and Brad Kneebone not out on 60 and 25 respectively.
