Police have found a Whangarei man who was wanted along with his younger brother after the pair allegedly cut off electronic monitoring bracelets and fled.
Tyson Harding, 19, who faces a charge of possession for supply of methamphetamine, was on bail when police said he cut off his monitoring bracelet
on January 1 and fled. He was found hiding in a shed on a residential property in central Whangarei last Thursday and was charged with breaching bail conditions and has been remanded in custody. He is due to go on trial on June 27 for the meth-related charge.
Police are still on the hunt for his younger brother Evanda Harding, 18, who they say followed his brother and also cut off his monitoring bracelet. Evanda is due to go on trial in June on more than 20 drug-related charges, including possession of methamphetamine for supply, possession of equipment and materials, possession of class A controlled drugs and participating in an organised criminal group.
Police said Evanda has most recently been hiding in the Whangarei Heads area. He may be driving an older-model Subaru car. Anyone who sees him or knows where he is should call 021 191 6122 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
