Young people have been unleashing their creativity through music, art, dance and theatre at the Northland Youth Summit Arts Festival.

The fifth annual event has been running at NorthTec since Wednesday and will finish today.

Event co-ordinator Lenny Murupaenga said 80 youth had signed up for workshops including music, film, printmaking, theatre, 3D digital, dance and sculpture.

Northern Advocate photographer Michael Cunningham followed the music yesterday and captured the talent.
