Kerikeri's Turner Centre celebrated its 10th anniversary with a variety concert showcasing the best of Far North kapa haka, opera, rock, piano, dance, comic theatre and song.

Among the performers at the August 5 show were Bay of Islands College cultural group Te Roopu o Pewhairangi, the Bay of Islands Singers, Northern Dance Academy, Tony Harrison's band Rangitane Riot, talented young piano students, Kerikeri Theatre Company with a risqué play about the Grim Reaper getting lucky in a retirement home, and singers Daniel Morrison and Tania Priebs, who also starred in the Turner Centre's first show.

Two acts stole the show: Singers Selwyn Kauwiti (of Northland College) and Daniel Morrison (ex-Bay of Islands College), performing a duet from Pearl Fishers by Bizet; and Te Pito Whenua, Waitangi Treaty Grounds' resident cultural group with a specially choreographed show, which included a tribute to the soldiers of the 28th Maori Battalion.
The centre was opened by then Prime Minister Helen Clark on August 5, 2005.
