Kerikeri police are used to dealing with some odd visitors, but it's not every day they get a llama demanding attention at the front counter.
Greyhawke was not there, however, to lay a complaint. He was simply doing his bit for Daffodil Day on Friday.
For the 11th year running, Julie Insley, of Rangemore Llama Farm in Waipapa, took four of her South American friends into town to help the Cancer Society's fundraising efforts.
"I do it because it makes people happy and it does help to raise money. And who hasn't been touched by cancer?" she said.
Greyhawke and his friends were not flustered by the attention on Friday and did not leave any souvenirs of their visit in the Advocate office this year, unlike 2011's memorable visit.
A couple of the animals did get very frisky during a cafe visit, however, and had to be told to keep their ardour in check until they got home to their paddock.
