Think you're too old for Twitter?
In the States, the number of people aged 18 who are tweeting daily is growing.
Thirteen per cent of online adults aged 18 and older surveyed by the Pew Research Centre's internet & American Life Project said they used Twitter, up from 8 per cent in
November 2010.
Twitter usage was highest - 18 per cent - among the 18-29 age group followed by 14 per cent among online adults aged 30-49, 8 per cent among those aged 50-64 and six per cent in the 65 and older age group.
Men were tweeting more frequently than women - 14 per cent compared to 11 per cent.
Rumour's dead end
Don't believe everything you hear about Tupac Shakur.
The dead American rapper, who was shot dead in Vegas in 1996, was apparently still alive and hiding out in New Zealand recently.
However, the website for US television programme NewsHour, which was reporting the news of Shakur being spotted alive, was revealed to have been hacked.
The site was soon shut down and a group outed itself on Twitter as responsible for the attack.
Mc-fans rewarded
Maccas deals are awesome - anyone who has been there on $1 cheeseburger day will attest.
But the deals don't have to stop there - they're now available daily on Facebook. McDonald's New Zealand marketing director Jules Lloyd said the Facebook "Check In" deals were a way of giving back to loyal consumers.
"McDonald's already has one of the most successful corporate Facebook pages in New Zealand with over 88,000 likes, and we're building on this success by offering our customers the opportunity to get something back, by way of Facebook Deals.
"Our first Facebook Deal is also a great way for us to offer new customers the opportunity to come in and try something for free in one of our restaurants.
"It's giving consumers that something extra when they 'check in' at one of our restaurants."
