Whangarei photographer Jesse Silulu recently moved back home to the city from Melbourne and has set up a business in the district with a focus on photography from his small fleet of drones.
Mr Silulu lived in Melbourne for five years, working the past two years as a professional photographer, mainly doing commercial aerial work.
However, he decided to return to Whangarei last month with his wife Katherine.
"Whangarei weather is very similar to Melbourne weather and we thought, if we were going to have to be indoors while it rains in Melbourne, we may as well be indoors in Whangarei when the weather is rubbish," he said.
He is trading as SnapAbove, and while he would like to break into the real estate and commercial sector but will consider any photographic opportunities, including video work.
