Napier Boys' High School product Bradey, who made his debut for the villagers in 2005, is confident he will be the one talking the most at Monday morning's smoko.
"Tech are a couple of steps ahead of us on the points table at the moment but everything is there for us to catch them and finish ahead of them if we can put an 80 minute performance together."
A veteran of 29 games for the Magpies from 2008-12, Bradey pointed out it's not just his 100th which is providing motivational fuel for the hosts.
"It's also Jake's [fullback Jacob Kennedy's] 50th and there is also a reunion of the club's 2008 Maddison Trophy-winning side this weekend," Bradey explained.
The club's 20th centurion, Bradey was a member of the 2008 side, the 2010 Maddison Trophy-winning side and last year's one which he captained.
He has tasted Nash Cup success in 2005, '06 and last year.
A cousin of Havelock halfback Isaac Paewai, fellow centurion and former Havelock coach Murdoch Paewai and Six60 band drummer Eli Paewai, Bradey didn't expect to become a centurion.
"To be honest it is something which has just crept up on me," Bradey said. Had he not taken a year off for a working holiday in Australia in 2007 and not had several stints on the sideline with niggly injuries Bradey could have reached the milestone earlier. With his switch from the loose forwards to midfield back this season Bradey agreed there is potential for him to reach the 200 mark and threaten the club record of 253 appearances held by former loosie Jason Skipper.
"The body isn't as sore these days after Saturday games but it is more fatigued because I've done more running and more sprints," Bradey explained.
However if he and partner Jess Barber decide to have an overseas stint in future he may not reach the record.
"We may take a rugby-related trip or a non-rugby one just to see what the other side of the world has to offer. If we stay in the Bay there's only one club I will play for and that's Havelock," Bradey said.
The villagers' 10th top tryscorer with 45 and 10th all time points scorer with 331 (he has also kicked 32 conversions and 14 penalties), Bradey pointed out both Havelock's backs coach Davis Norman and Magpies backs coach Danny Lee are pleased with the progress he is making as a midfielder.
"They're not filling my head with lots of stuff. They're just giving me plenty of time to get comfortable and I'm happy with how I'm trucking along," he added.
Mogford, 21, who may get game time as a substitute today said there is no way he can be accused of trying to slow Bradey down.
"They're just good burgers and I'm looking after a workmate," Mogford said.
A second year premier player with Tech, Mogford returns to action today after missing last weekend's win against MAC with a rib injury collected in the win against Clive.
He pointed out while there have been occasions at work this week where he could have allowed Bradey to do more of the heavy lifting during the buildup to the clash of the unbeaten teams Mogford has resisted the temptation.
"We've shared the load," Mogford explained.
Crook, 19, is in his second season with Tech and is aiming for a second season with the Hawke's Bay under-20s side providing a knee operation doesn't take priority. He is confident about the visitors' chances of taking the Nash Cup back to Whitmore Park despite having to play without New Zealand under-20 reps, winger Penikolo Latu and halfback Sheridan Rangihuna who are on international duty.
"There's been a bit of stick flying between Adam and us two Tech boys. There will be a few more angry words on Monday too," Crook added.Other games today will see Carters Frame and Truss Taradale host IMS Payroll Hastings Rugby and Sports at Taradale, Clive host MAC at Farndon Park and for the second time this season two games will be played at Park Island with Hawke's Bay Insurances Napier Old Boys Marist hosting Tamatea and Tanalised Napier Pirate Rugby and Sports hosting Central.
