former Hawke's Bay basketballer Arthur Trousdell is returning home to roost with the Hawks next season.
Trousdell will once again wear his shirt No 42 in black and white. Since leaving the after the end of the 2007 season he has continued to play in the National Basketball League (NBL) for
other franchises.
In 2008 and 2009, while studying to become a teacher, he played for the Wellington Saints.
This year the new franchise, Southland Sharks, picked up Trousdell halfway through the season after he returned from his big OE.
"With Paul [Henare] coaching this year, it's great to bring back another Hawke's Bay boy to the mix," said Hawks club administrator Rachael Hincho.
"It's great for a team feeling when walking on to the court, not just for the guys playing but for the public as well. It makes it easier for the public to relate to everyone," said Hincho, hoping to lure other Bay players into this season's roster, regardless of whether they are returning or younger players here waiting to create an impression.
