The fixtures for this week and through to next Tuesday in Hawke's Bay:

CYCLING

The Heretaunga Building Society-powered Ramblers Cycling Club summer series starts this Saturday afternoon with graded racing from Puketapu School on the Swamp Rd-Omarunui Rd circuit. A to F grades will complete two laps for about 43km while G grade will complete 23km.

Registration is from 1.15pm until 1.45pm with race briefing at 1.45pm and the first race scheduled to start at 2pm.

Under-16 members race free while for all other members it is $5 and $10 for non-members.

Thursday evening twilight racing starts at 6pm at Bridge Pa for a 16km road race to the top of Burma Rd with no race fee.
Visitors and new members are welcome to both events.

FISHING

The Pollett Furniture/Top Boat Xmas Fishing Competition this Saturday from 5am. Briefing on Friday at 7pm with registrations from 5pm at the Hawke's Bay Sportsfishing Club's clubhouse on Nelson Quay.
