Ericksen Honda Port Hill thrashed Inglewood Reserves 8-0 in Palmerston North, while Best Travel Havelock North Wanderers eclipsed Gisborne Thistle Firsts 3-0 away at Childers Rd Reserve to keep their Federation Cup fire burning in knockout cup soccer yesterday.
Port Hill coach Tim Claudatos said first divisioners Inglewood were not
much of an opposition at Skoglund Park in fantastic conditions.
"We were just too good for them really," Claudatos said.
Havelock coach Bruce Barclay said too often they went to the Reserve and came away with nothing, so they were happy to have simply won.
In the feature Bay Premier cup match yesterday, Cru Bar Macenvale United avenged their league loss on Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Western Rangers, despite finding themselves down to 10 men with 10 minutes to go after Eathan Dent collected two yellows.
