Crossfit Hawkes Bay currently has 3 individual members in contentions for the 2013 Australia regional's held in Sydney, Australia at the end of May.

Kevin Manuel is currently sitting 10 in Australia region and 2nd in New Zealand; Jaryd Warren is sitting 38th in the Australia region and 7th in New Zealand with Erin Gladstone sitting 33rd in the Australia region and 7th in New Zealand.

The Crossfit Hawkes Bay gym itself sitting is 12th in the Australia region and 3rd in New Zealand this placement gives them the opportunity to send another 8 athletes to the regional's making a total of 11 athletes with hope's of heading to the 2013 Crossfit Games Australian regions of finding the fittest.

For the last 4 weeks athletes from around the world have been competing in an online completion, The Reebok CrossFit Games of finding the Fittest.

The CrossFit association in America releases a workout each week which athletes complete and post their scores online, athletes that place in the top 48 per region then compete in a regional competition.

Gyms that place in the top 30 qualify to send a team of 8 over to compete in the teams section of the regional competition.

All with the hope of placing in the top 3 at the regional's to qualify for the CrossFit Games held in Florida USA at the end of the year.

There are 17 regions within the competition and New Zealand and Australia make up one region with over 8000 men, women and masters competing to see where there at in the world of fittness!

This Friday at CrossFit Hawkes Bay 10 Donnelly Street, Havelock North, Hawkes Bay all three gyms within Hawkes Bay, Napier CrossFit, Sports Park CrossFit and CrossFit Hawkes Bay will come together to complete the final WOD (work out of the day) for their final placing in the 2013 CrossFit Open.


This event will be an event to remember, with 3 of the country's fittest battling it out to hold their places in that top 48 and keeping the gym in the top 30!
