Real estate prices softened in the Hawke's Bay region against both the May and June 2010 figures, down 5.2 per cent and 10.9 per cent respectively according to the June figures from the Real Estate Instutute of New Zealand.

Volumes in Hawke's Bay dropped back in June after a strong run in May.

Bucking the national trend, the volume figures were down on the June 2010 volumes by almost 2 per cent, making Hawke's Bay the second worst performing region on a volume basis over the past 12 months.
