A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing at an LAB concert last month.
The 26-year-old man appeared in the Hastings District Court on Friday charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, in association with other unknown people, on January 21, the date of the concertin Hastings.
He was also charged with possessing an offensive weapon on February 9, and with a breach of home detention.
He applied for bail but was declined. He is next due to appear in court on March 7.
Police said earlier that emergency services were called to the Hawke’s Bay Showgrounds at 7.05 on the night of the concert after reports that a person had been stabbed in the crowd.
A person was taken to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a serious condition.
