DELECTABLE: Tickets to Winter FAWC have been selling fast. PHOTO FILE

Four days out from the start of the fifth Winter FAWC Food and Wine Festival and the "sold out" signs have started popping up big time.

Of the 48 events between June 2 and June 26 listed on the FAWC website half of them had the signs up yesterday, and three of the four events on the opening day, this Friday, are among them.

The Secret World of Chocolate, The Dark Horse at Elephant Hill Estate Winery and the Better With Age gathering at Mission Estate all got the "must go to" nod with locals and visitors.
It was something a delighted Tourism Hawke's Bay general manager Annie Dundas had seen building since the first winter festival of fine food and cuisine was staged - where seven of the 11 events sold out quickly.

The following year the events list had grown to 28 and they too sold well as a growing number of visitors joined the locals in celebrating the regions fine foods, beverages and venues.
