There will be a wine auction at Hawke's Bay Opera House Plaza this weekend.
Wine lovers have started the countdown for the 24th Hawke's Bay Wine Auction to be held this weekend.
The annual auction celebrates a group of talented winemakers, coming together to flaunt the fruits of their hard labour on a national and international stage.
The evening will showcase some spectacular Hawke's
Bay wines that you won't find on shelves anywhere else.
Event manager Annabel Tapley-Smith said, on average, the auction has annually raised more than $100,000 and Cranford Hospice has significantly benefited.
The Wine Writers of New Zealand group will descend on Hawke's Bay tomorrow for the three-day packed itinerary concluding with the grand finale of the wine auction event.
