A frosty start this morning will be the coldest Hawke's Bay gets this week as the end of a chilly southerly blast makes way for warmer weather throughout the rest of the week.
Temperatures overnight dipped to -1C, which MetService meteorologist Kyle Lee said would bring some early morning
frost to inland areas, especially in Central Hawke's Bay.
On the tail end of a cold southerly blast, Mr Lee said it would feel a lot colder overnight with cold winds and clear skies forecast throughout the week, with overnight temperatures sinking to 4C.
However, overall Mr Lee said it was expected to be a "nice and dry week" with not much rain forecast.
As a ridge pushes up the country, Mr Lee said the region should experience good, clear weather and sunny days for the rest of the week.
