A man was airlifted to Hawke's Bay Hospital on Saturday after a beachfront walk ended with a slip on rocks at Waipatiki Beach.
The man, in his 40s, rolled his ankle while crossing rocks near a walking track along the beach.
He was unable to walk, and the isolation of the area
