A two-car crash on the Hawke's Bay Expressway near Taradale is causing traffic delays.

A police spokeswoman said they received reports of a crash at about 11.25am on Thursday.

No injuries have been reported, however traffic is moving slowly.

Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
