Truck crash blocking SH2 near Napier

Traffic is being diverted from State Highway 2 north of Napier after a truck crashed earlier today.

Police were alerted just before midday that a truck's trailer had tipped over on SH2 near Kaiwaka Rd, Tangoio.

A section of the highway - just before the stretch known as "Devil's elbow" - has been blocked by the crash. There were no reported injuries.

Traffic is now being diverted via Waikoau Rd, which comes out near Tutira.
