The international clout of Trinity Hill Wines has been reaffirmed after being placed the 20th most popular wine from more than 4000 brands in the United Kingdom's on-premise trade for 2010.
Trinity Hill Wines chief executive John Hancock said having his wine on licensed premises overseas was the best place to
build the wine's brand. He was "absolutely chuffed" with the ranking, especially when the New Zealand component of the list was dominated by Marlborough wines.
Mr Hancock said 2010 had proved Trinity Hill's "most successful year ever in terms of endorsement".
"There is no doubt that fantastic independent endorsement from media and wine shows has helped with brand recognition in sales," he said.
The findings were in Australia's Wine Business Solutions, which also found Trinity Hill shared the third spot of New Zealand's top 20 on-premise wines for its number of listings at UK bars and restaurants.
Four other New Zealand brands featured in the top 30, with Marlborough's Cloudy Bay taking the overall number one spot.
