Hawke's Bay Has plenty of activities and events on this weekend. We list 8 of the best on offer.

1. Summer Sessions

2. Jazz On the Village Green — Blues De Luxe

Playing straight from the greatest jazz albums in a showcase of tunes many of us recall and love, Blues De Luxe is a great local jazz band. 3. Saturday Sessions With Fraser Mack

Join Mack at New Zealand's first urban winery. Enjoy the acoustic stylings as he plays and sings originals, as well as covers of folk and rock classics. Urban Winery, 1 Ossian St, Ahuriri, Napier. Playing some of the funkiest and heartfelt tunes around. With a nice ratio of covers to originals, these young lads come together with a common goal of simply pleasing and moving a crowd. 5. Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter Open Day

This is the one day of the year the doors are open to the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter hangar. You will have the opportunity to get a photo in the pilot's seat of the main helicopter or try its winch simulator. There will also be family-friendly games, a bouncy castle, BBQ and coffee available. Entry is a gold-coin donation. Graham Lowe Rescue Helicopter, Orchard Rd, Hastings. Tomorrow, 10am to 2pm. 6. The Puketapu Auction and Fair

This is a great event for the whole family. There will be more than 50 stalls, crafts, pony rides, boat rides for the kids, food, beverages, entertainment ... something for everybody. Entry is a gold-coin donation. It is a Rotary Club of Taradale Charitable Trust event.

7. Sunday Session 4 — Hail to The Thieves

8. Summer In the Park — Jody Direen

Dubbed the ''Queen of Country'', Jody Direen hails from Wanaka. After five years touring, writing and recording in New Zealand, Australia and the US, she signed with major record label ABC Music.
