Hawke's Bay has plenty of activities and events for people of all ages to enjoy. We list 8 of the best on offer this weekend.

1. Sunday Market

2. Exclusive Screening of The Forgotten General

Hastings Hearing is holding a public fundraising event. Come along for an exclusive screening of The Forgotten General, a docu-drama about local war hero Major General Andrew Russell, which was made in 2013. 4. Music for Royal Occasions

This is the Waiapu Cathedral Choir's second concert for 2018. As the title suggests, the programme includes music used at royal weddings, funerals, coronations and other important occasions. The choir will be accompanied by organist Michael Fletcher, director of music at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Wellington.

5. Ocean Beach Half Marathon — 14km and 6km

This is the last run in the 2018 series, so pack a picnic. There will also be an end-of-series prizegiving. This run goes along the beach and up and over some beautiful farmland, with stunning views to Te Mata Peak and Waimarama.
Ocean Beach, Ocean Beach Rd, Havelock North. Tomorrow, 9am to 1pm.

6. Napier Operatic Society Open Day

To celebrate New Zealand Theatre Month, Napier Operatic Society is hosting an Open Day.

Vocal and Instrumental items from individuals and groups from Hawke's Bay, with opportunities for younger people to perform before a responsive audience.
