Napier magazine

*   The magazine that Napier City Council has turned out is impressive. I hope it will attract new businesses to ease the chronic Napier unemployment problem.

*   What a waste of ratepayers' money the annual Napier City Life junk mail magazine is!

Other thoughts

*   Have
we a Labour MP for Hastings?

*   I notice lots of unemployed and beneficiaries in the drink-drive name and shame list. How do they afford all that booze that puts them ova the limit? JC

*   KFC Hastings shocking for having no chicken. Been there heaps and had to wait for chicken Come on get your act together.

*   Arrest and lock up all known gang members before the Rugby World Cup. Gangs and guns are uncool for NZ. AH

*   If HB Racing got rid of the $20 admission price to go to the races, they would get huge crowds!

*   Museums, don't forget Onga Onga, really charming spot with its heritage buildings.

*   Re tram: The sports park is a long overdue necessity for this region. I wish it had been built 10 years ago when I was at school! So don't knock everything our councils do even if most of their decisions are the wrong ones.

*   Hate walking into smokers at main entrance of KMart! Realise you have got to get your dose of nicotine, but do it somewhere else. Not a good look.
