- Re DAB: I was really quite disturbed by that response from PM Leemy. As you were in no way condoning nor endorsing that behaviour. It is not just parents or just children but the balance in between where the homework needs to be done. Government should start with adapting the phsyche of children (possibly through the education sector) to teach them to get the best out of their environment no matter their socio-economic status. Children are spoilt these days and more concerned with the pleasure out of a dollar than the joy. Discipline needs a strongly justified voice. Anyone?
- Have just received my rate bill. Yes it is expensive. When can someone set up a bank account to pay our rates into till the council learns to cut its costs.
- To coach and co coach of Magpies: Look over shoulders at local talent instead of taking on imports. Where has that got us?
- Wonderful concert at Municipal held by the Drones and Sticks pipe band and Port of Napier Brass band in aid of Christchurch quake appeal. Disapointed to hear N.C.C charged for theatre hire. Couldn't it have been free of charge considering it was for such a good cause?
- I agree build the waka, create jobs. The Govt gave $30m to America's Cup boat Black Magic and what did that create - just disappointment.
- Labour leaves the country in financial ruin, National gets in and tries to fix it by tightening belts, voters think they're being targeted so revote Labour.. Um...
- Inflation, cut backs, high unemployment, petrol, oil, power, early childhood, unfordable healthy food, milk, NZPO, the rising cost of livng. Good one National.
- MMP ensures our unnecesary over paid and under worked MPs are kept in clover while lower & mddle income families remain on the bones of our bums.
- The remaining animals at Marineland will not be euthanased. The NCC has said those animals will be re-homed. So S.A. Linton can rest easy. I.M.
