* Heard a lady about 50yrs old saying how she is on a benefit, not unemployment but another kind of benefit. She was furious WINZ hadn't found her a job. Hey lady, find own job. I did just that. Anyone can see WINZ staff are severely stressed and understaffed. JM
*
Well done Mr N R Sutton Your moment of glory, the extension has been done, the jet loads of tourists are arriving and yes now we must pay for it all. I know let's put the parking fees up. Bloody typical. Neil
* Re on-line car sale scam. It's been going on for ages and not just on Trade Me. Sites seem unable to do anything about it. Seller beware.
* OMG...poor poor poor victimised whinging drivers. I don't require fossil fuels, contribute to the destruction of our clean air, contribute to most road deaths all in the desire to get anywhere faster. I'm a cyclist, I use my own energy to get where I need to go regardless of terrain. Another case of the bully majority, car owners, feeling hard done by. Share the space.
* Totally agree re "path in our faces." Council dropped a whole lot of muck in Charles Street two months ago and still it sits. Rate refund I say. SJ
* Why aren't the SFO treating Hanova management the same way they're treating Mr Hubbard. At least Mr Hubbard wasn't intentionally lining his pockets like Mark Hotchin.
* For a non-smoking area right outside hospital doors, there are always plenty of smokers smoking there. Butts everywhere and my poor old poppa with emphysema has to walk through the clouds of foul carcinogenic smoke. Totally disgusting. JHW
* Agree totally with Napier MP Stuart Nash re amalgamation in Thursday letters. If amalgamation happens with Hastings we would leave Hawke's Bay. WT.
* Vehicle doughnut damage to Napier sportsfields and roundabout central islands. Just mindless copycat antics by tossers following current VW 4WD TV advertising. Absolute idiots!
* How about the vandals being put in a cage at Park Island for all to see
