*    Re rash from swimming in Tutira Lake. It is duck itch caused by a parasite from ducks etc and usually from swimming in shallow water. There is no cure but it stops after awhile. KH

*    How much water does that fountain leak in central Hastings? Water waste?

*    OMG what are some people in Hawke's Bay on? Animal cruelty? There is absolutely nothing wrong with the rodeo or horse racing - get over yourselves.

*     I would rather my children do any outdoor activities then have them stuck inside watching the crap they have on TV or playing violent explicit video games. That's the problem with this country. Start focusing on the child abuse that's going on - get your priorities right.

*    Hey all you anti-rodeo-ites, if you had seen the crowd at Wairoa's rodeo and how well it was run, then maybe you would have second thoughts. B T Wairoa.

*    Boat speed an ongoing problem. Shame on boat that hit orca. Time for harbour master to get tough. Heavy fines might slow these idiots down. SR.

*    Westshore last Friday: The children and I were in awe seeing orcas swimming so close to beach. It horrifies me to read the boat hit one as we were concerned as this boat was going very fast up and down close to the orcas.

*    Coach stop in Napier's Clive square. Brilliant. Market in Market St. Even better
