*   So tobacco goes up in price in January. So does the cost of living, ie food, etc. Thanks Nats, another rise in your salaries. Well done, as more people with trades will leave New Zealand for overseas. God help New Zealand.

*   To the inconsiderate driver in Bay View: Your reckless driving and actions could have seriously hurt a vanload of children aged under 5. Shame on you.

*   Would the council please explain where the workers are to park now the few all-day carparks have been changed to 120-minute parking in Havelock North?

*   Now the Hastings District Council has cycle lanes on most streets, will it put a heavy-truck lane in historic Oak Ave? Don

*   Re: Clive to Hastings speed reduction to 80km/h. How about improving the road? Where are you now, Craig Foss? J Oak

*   It is disappointing to see the HDC is planning a skate park. It obviously has not learnt from the last theme park and its failure.

*   The duck crossing outside the airport is placement lines for traffic-counting wires.

*   Five years ago we were asked to sign a consent form for a boarding cattery two blocks away. Now we get a cell tower on our road and don't even get told about it. What's the world coming to?

*   Someone please get rid of the parking signs outside Gascoigne Medical Centre. They do nothing but create a problem.
