Cellphone tower

*  Get real Taradale re cell tower. Fair go you are as bad as the moaners in Havelock!

*  There must be a law against having two cell towers in close proximity causing potential cancers and health issues. CS Taradale.

Other thoughts

*  Thank God for Women's Refuge.

*  Why do the English wear a black jersey? They are wannabes! It shows no respect to NZ rugby! I will back the ABs and anyone else who plays England!

*  I am a big fan of the new bike paths being developed in the Westshore area and my family enjoys them on a weekly basis. However, we tried out the new estuary one by Watchman Rd only to get bombed by nesting magpies. Very scary! Won't be returning there until after nesting! LW

*  Re Manawatu Gorge: Strengthen Balance Bridge and fix up that road. Takes you into the middle of Palmy.

*  Memories of Magpie Country, book by Paul Taylor and Shane Hurndell of HB Today is fantastic. Well done! I got mine through HB Today office. JBJ

*  Drivers take care of cyclists - it's a pity I got knocked off my bike. Peter Gordon

*  Aussie rugby players are not cheats. No way at all.

*  To FFM: Take a closer look at Napier. Town is a disgrace there is bird poo in malls and stained pavers. HDC keep their town in much better shape than Napier along with their public toilets. Our toilets are disgusting compared with HDC ones. HDC keep up the great work.

*  I agree with Gordon about the waste of funds on unnecessary road works. The removal of the slipway $50k of wasted money and l doubt there will be a rush of pedestrians anywhere. ST

*  I have had two miscarriages and have infertility issues, to see the pro abortion texts n the paper breaks my heart. if you don't want your babies can I please have them?

*  I'm sick to death of non smokers whinging about second hand smoke. I'm a non smoker by the way. What about a car exhaust? Just because carbonmonoxide is colourless and odourless doesn't mean it won't kill you. Ever heard of someone smoking themselves to death in half an hour? Get a grip. JC

*  Why didn't the chicken cross the road? Because there were too many sheep parading on it.

*  To the texter who can't believe how many moaning people there are that write/ txt...stop moaning!

*  Why do chefs on TV when cooking fish, may it be on the back of a boat or in a studio kitchen, add so many spices and herbs that the taste of the fish is totally not there? Baza

*  I bet Unesco are still laughing at Napier's application for world heritage status! I'm afraid little NZ has got delusions of grandeur! How quaint. JW

*  How embarrassing NZ. I can't believe you applied for world heritage status for Napier! Whoever made the suggestion has obviously never been outside Hawke's Bay! Wake up people - look at the magnificent buildings in cities like London, Paris and Rome. To suggest that half a dozen buildings built in the 1930s are on a par with these wonderful masterpieces is downright shameful.
