Skate Parks

*   There are skate parks in Havelock and Flaxmere. Both are unused and vandalised so it seems the HDC has not thought it through again. JK

*   Wicked HDC. I was just reading how you are planning to spend 160k on a skate park but you can't afford any money towards our major erosion disaster on Cape Coast. Just awesome.

Other thoughts

*   Feel sorry for the texter who had Xmas cards returned re short postage on them. 60c is okay on standard ones, bigger cards need more postage. We found out the hard way too.

*   Awesome job to those students who were expelled but got their education back on track. Great models for other troubled youth. Well done.

*   I have seen two people light up a smoke while in a vehicle at a petrol station in the last 10 days with windows down? Wondering why there is not a crackdown on this, like talking on a cellphone while driving.

*   Stop moaning about Xmas parades. Enough! We have an excellent Blossom Parade. Christmas is about the Christ Child, not sleighs.

*   Well done to Judge Geoff Rea who imposed a further 6 months disqualification on James Buckrell. Maybe this time he might learn something. He is not above the law.
