Westshore Beach

*   If our mayor and council members lived by the bad side of Westshore Beach of course they'd fix it. Mr Exeter good on you mate.

*   Westshore Beach: What a disgrace. Our council should be ashamed.

Expressway

*   Something needs to be done about the Napier/Hastings expressway/Meeanee Quay intersection in Westshore. Too many lives have been lost, and I now have no car since someone unfortunately failed to give way. Either more stop signs or a roundabout should work! Crash victim!

*   Please can we have a sign off the Meeanee/Napier expressway off ramp area stating the Transit NZ words and picture "merge like a zip". CS Taradale.

Other thoughts

*   Re MA: Maybe cyclists should obey the road code as well and ride as far left as practical and definitely not two abreast.

*   To the whinger talking about old folks: I have worked at many jobs mate and the old fellas I have worked with are awesome. You want to try it. Better than you young ones. Even now there is a guy out with me who is 68 and yep, bud rubbing grapes. You come and do what he's doing. HA.

*   Judge politicians by their actions not their words.

*   Warren Fortune you and the friends of your school are very caring. Well done.

*   Bunnings appeal rejected. Who is scratching whose back?

*   How come HDC could build the sports park but Bunnings has been declined. Seems council is protecting Mega 10 big time. Competition isn't a bad thing for consumers.

*   Went to take my daughter to Cornwall Park splash pad as I had read in paper it was open from November 5. Had a very unhappy daughter as it wasn't going. RB

*   How come so many heavy trucks come through Havelock North? It's nearly as bad as Marine Parade.

I*    wonder how many people who bank with an Australian bank realise that the profits go to help Australia's economy. That's one reason they can pay higher wages and they are supporting an asset sale.

*   All together now, and - always look on the bright side of life - whistle, whistle, whistle.

*   Why won't they listen? Because the NCC have became a law unto themselves. They dictate what will happen in Napier. They have forgotten that we, the people of Napier, employ them. Too much power to a small group of people.

*   Wow what a great idea for using old Mitre 10, Farmers and The Warehouse buildings. I agree.

*   I thought Habitat 4 Humanity homes would have been for one income families struggling, not families on two incomes doing good. Just another thing for people to rip off and take away from genuine families in dire hardship. PP

*   You would have to be pretty bitter and twisted not to like Paul Henry and with zilch sense of humour. You poor thing.

*   I'm pleased to read that Paul Henry has a new job offer. Pity it's over the ditch. Good for you Paul. Breakfast has never been the same. JW

*   To the three boys who get picked up by a blue and white school bus down Southland Road, stop throwing stuff at our fence and leaving rubbish on our lawn.

*   Thanks for fixing the speed bumps...much better for all concerned...happy customer and driver!

*   To CWT: I'm 23 years old and love and enjoy Coro St. It is moving with the times with the storylines and scandal to appeal to a wider audience, fabulous script writers and the 7.30 time slot is perfect.

*   Come on housing Corp, why are you buying up houses in respectable areas and putting in tenants. We live in good area, we thought! Until these people arrived along with their language! Will be phoning you in middle of night when they start mouthing off. You have spoilt our neighbourhood. Shame on you.

*   So agree; HNZ tenants who can't and don't care for the property. They are placed there by a tenancy manager, who doesn't check their past, and they are in their second or third house. Come on HNZ sort it out. AS

*   Yes, our forefathers fought under the current flag. Not for it, as such, rather for what it represented. The question that must be asked is does it truly represent NZ as we are now?

*   Re-Tail-gating letter to Ed 7/11. Do this: While observing carefully in your rear vision mirror, gently apply your brakes and the driver should back off! Squirting window washers is also good especially for motorbikes following too close! They should get the message about safe following distances either way.

*   Can anyone tell me what the little pedestrian crossing across the road north of airport is for? Surely not for the ducks. Also what does adopt a highway mean?

*   Any one got a new flag for sugar loaf?

*   Does anyone know why it costs 75 cents to text TV One Close Up when they do a poll. LH.

*   Just back from Fiji. Massive. I wonder if our army could run this country as well. Maybe then we would work together as one people. Get away from outdated political system and its lies. R

*   Big thumbs up to Hastings Hallensteins for replacing a faulty item without receipt and with a smile. Keep up the good service.

*   When is the council going to do something about the dangerous intersection of Karamu/Frederick/Grove Roads?

*   Stevie Williams your caddie career may have been all but gone. I thought you were a professional. You've let all of NZ and us golfing people down again.

*   Good on Steve Williams for saying what other people are too afraid to say about Tiger Woods.
