*    Columnist Bruce Bisset asks 'is anyone listening?' Not to you Bruce, same old same old every week. Mike Butler

*    Jimmy Choux will be a champion when he proves it. He has not done that yet. What is all this mass hysteria rubbish?

*    Re disabled parking: Every council has different rules so the answer depends on where you live.

*    Who's the crazy person who designed alteration to Norton and Copeland Rd corner?

*    Well done Napier Warehouse - Mrs Santa giving out lollies was a nice touch. She did a great job!

*    I agree with Andy Lowe. Council need to provide more rubbish bins at Ocean Beach. They had various recycling bins by toilets but they have been removed. Come on council.

*    We got to the Taradale Xmas Parade at 10.02am and it was already over! Not fair that it started earlier than advertised, my kids were gutted.

*    I used the Anderson Park ladies toilet in Havelock North. The toilet bowl was green. Come on HDC who cleans them?

*    Bank and shop staff, friendly and helpful, great. Overfamiliar is unprofessional.

*    Council vehicles seem to park where they want. One by us after work hours blocks footpath and driveways. Can't see traffic or pedestrians. Ticket them.

*    Pukeko: Anyone that kills a pukeko should be rewarded with a petrol voucher then HB would be a richer place! Shirley

*    Maybe the Black Caps' critics should wait until the match is over before texting in opinions. JH

*    To the texter who says ex prisoners should get help after they leave jail: Get real, why should they? They should never be treated so well in prison and they should never have done the crime.

*    Taradale Guides and Otatara Brownies: Thank you from meals on wheels deliverer for Christmas gift and thanks from a recipient too. Lot of work. Well done.

*    Monday night's editorial. Trees on Marine Parade are Norfolk Island Pines. Not English.JN

*    If this country is trying to save money why do we need Mayor and an MP in each city? Not cost effective! MM

*    Speaking of healthy foods your ham and tomato lasagne had no vege in it. Tomato pasta sauce hardly counts. Why not add a tin of whole peeled or chopped tomatoes? Way cheaper than a jar of sauce and way healthier. Maybe add some frozen corn or peas to add even more vege at little extra cost.

*    Thanks to the guy who has been collecting our rubbish in Onekawa shopping centre. All the best ane have a good Xmas and New Year.

*    HDC is having Christmas at the Park family fun event in Cornwall Park on December 18. Even better than a parade.
