All Blacks

*   Come on All Blacks, dig deep. Smash those tries through. We have to beat the the Aussies!

*   Seems strange that Zac breaks the rules and gets humiliated at press conference. Then Corey Jane does it and gets praise for the great game he played. Hardly seems right. MF

Speed bumps

*   Re speed bumps. I was walking down James Wattie Rd last week. No footpath so no option but to walk on the road and I tripped on the judderbar. Fell onto my shoulder, grazed and bruised both hands. I was in great pain for three days. Then I was told I was the third person that day to fall over. It didnt make me feel any better. Pathetic

*   Re speed bumps: I agree. Who do I sent the bill to get my tyre rod fixed. Drove over first bump and next thing tyre rod pops out. Fix them please.

*   Couldn't agree more. Shocking speed bumps/pedestrian crossing at new warehouse. They need rounding off!

*   Speed bumps at new warehouse! Hello. Four passengers and a tank full of gas! My car not happy. Won't be visiting again until bumps fixed.

*   Re warehouse speed bumps: My understanding is speed bumps are designed to slow traffic down. Maybe you should try driving slower over them. After all it is a carpark not a race track.

*   Went to new warehouse, husband an invalid because of bone disease in back. Went over speed bump slowly and wrecked back so bad almost back in hospital only to find not enough disability parks and couldn't find what we looking for. Shocking. WC

*   Warehouse speed bumps do suck and the only ones not complaining will be the companies who do the wheel alignments.

Indian family

I*   t's sad that a lovely family who have contributed in a positive way to NZ are now going through the most upsetting time and threat to their family. But what is also very sad is the hardliners who have no knowledge of what this family could have to suffer. It's high time that each overstayer case was taken on its own merits. I think NZ has lost some very good potential citizens because of our harsh requirements. Yes they have broken the law, they are guilty of wanting a better life for their children. Meanwhile we will continue to pay out enormous amounts of benefits to all the bums who don't want to work and contribute to NZ society just because they happened to be born here. MD

*   Indian family. I applied to live in this country. I queued. I waited. I became a resident. Now I work hard, pay taxes, and feel honoured to call myself a Kiwi - legally. Tell you what - I'll keep the kids until the parents are accepted. It is unfair to those of us who went through the proper process. It makes the rules a sham! HB

*   The Indian family from Hastings have to stay. The children are born Kiwis. NZ get behind them.

*   Totally agree with Joy Dench. Parents created their situation now they need to handle consequences without the bleeding hearts spouting the "woe is me, help us".

*   The Chumbers' parents made the decision to do what they did so now take consequences! Now please tell me they are working people paying taxes and not dependant on welfare?

Other thoughts

*   To the ignoramus who stole my gumboots from my truck get a job and earn some dollars like honest people do. Karma will get you. Sad so many thieves in Hastings. What's with these orchardists who sprayed their blocks in strong NE winds on Tuesday. No regard for drift, common rules or people safety. This cannot be tolerated.

*   What's going on in Marewa? Public toilets but nothing for the disabled users. Sort it out, it's bad enough trying to get a disabled park let alone struggle to use the toilets. Gareth.

*   Re Coro St time swap. Totally ridiculous but a deaf ear is turned to all protests, as usual. CS

*   Go St Mary's School. Your production was spectacular! And well done on another successful gala too.
