*   Great to see Air NZ take out the Air Transport World "World's Top Airline" award for the second time in three years. Particularly significant and heartwarming to NZ provincial users (as in HB) to know that that their frontline financial involvement (as in fares) has been so instrumental in assisting Air NZ to continue to present a competitive and innovative international (and domestic main trunk) operation. Well done chaps and chapesses. DBS.

*   I think whoever texted about health funding will find that it's not just the hospital that is funded. GPs are also funded. Get facts straight please.

*   Get real texter, it was about gangs. It shows the mentality of these thugs when an innocent person can't even wear what they want. I've been apprehensive for years about what colour clothes my teenage son wears around here and it shouldn't be like that.

*   Would someone please remind me what is so beneficial to humans about chlorine in our water? It is very destructive and harmful,

*   Re yellow pages 75-76: Mine and neighbour's aren't missing. Rob's must have been in a faulty batch, or other reason!

*   I was gutted the 2001 Miss Waimarama, my ex girlfriend/best friend/fiancée, Kylie wasn't featured on A5 January 7, 2012. Her beauty reigned ultimate overall across the timeline. Aaron

*   Gee TV3 news, thanks for the Syrian blood and guts suicide bomber warning. Not the best of viewing for Granny's ticker.

*   Thanks to the person who found my daughter's wallet on the bus from Napier to Hastings and handed it in to the bus driver after taking out the money.

*   I think Obama and his troops should stay in their own country! Paranoid because China is making dollars. Losers.

*   Thanks heaps to OBK surf club for unlocking gates for us the other night. A great day at the beach almost ruined by security guard who failed to tell us they were locking us in! I hope the council pays the surf club! KM.

*   Well done Bay View Snapper Holiday Park. At last Bay View has a brand new licensed cafe for all to enjoy. Great food, great prices, great location. JK

*   Looks like another balls-up by HDC paying security firm thousands of dollars to open and lock gates at Ocean Beach that can't be done on time. Simple solution - leave them open.

*   Mr Foss is it not an amazing coincidence that so many commentators other than Bruce Bisset have come to the same conclusion about the new food bill? Where do they get their ideas from? Maybe they have read the bill and used their brains.

*   Please could whoever keeps letting off fireworks around Dolbel just stop and think what distress they are causing to humans and pets. I am so sick of being woken and then having to spend ages calming my poor dog. PM

*   I agree with texter re fireworks in Hastings. This has been continuous since November and always in the same area.

*   A big thank you to Hawke's Bay Today and Pascoes for the fantastic prize I won in the 12 Days of Christmas competition. What a wonderful surprise!

*   So the right hand driving rule changes on the March 25. As it stands most drivers don't know why indicators are fitted to a car. So how are they going to cope with the law change? The next law that needs to be brought in is that all cars should have at least third-party insurance before being allowed on the road.

*   Bay tours are going up to Jersey Boys on three dates in May. Staying overnight. Also Searle Travel.

*   To the man in Hastings who tried to claim his courier pack wasn't delivered when it was - glad your lying was found out!

*   HB Health protection office needs to apologise to Lake Tutira rash victims. Warnings need to be in place. Great for tourism. Clean green NZ , NOT.

NOTE: Could the people who texted replies about tinnitus kindly resend them. They were lost in a system crash yesterday.
