Black Caps

*    Black Caps are the laughing stock of the world! The tour is a flop and NZ Cricket should bring them back to NZ.

*    Yeah Black Caps, took your bats but left your balls at home.

Cake tins

*    Re cake tins: Try Total Food Equipment, Jessica's Design Store or Briscoes. Happy shopping.

*    In reply to cake and loaf tin searcher. Try Mardi Gras Event Party Hire, Queen St West, Hastings.

*    To the person looking for baking tins: I had the same problem. Purchased mine at The Warehouse. Supermarkets also have them. Happy baking. LK

Other thoughts

*    St Aubyn St crossing is dangerous. Police and council have to monitor with officers or cameras the pedestrian crossing from Kmart Plaza over St Aubyn St heading to Nelson Park Centre. For the second time after pushing the button to cross a vehicle has gone through a red light when I had the green man on the crossing. It scared the hell out of me! I can't be the only one? If nothing is done there is going to be a fatality. MP

*    I have the best cure for hangovers. Don't drink.

*    Re Ocean Beach. They have failed to realise that it gets dark at 9.30pm and light at 5.30am. How do surfers/divers from the north end of the beach get in and out?

*    Well done Taradale for your mini Christmas parade. To all involved a big thank you.

*    What's with all the disposable nappies thrown from cars around Napier?

*    Big thumbs up to Holly from the National Aquarium who is so helpful and happy. Thank you for making my visit wonderful. SH, Taradale

*    Do drivers with disabled parking permits have to put money in meters? I say yes, my friend says no.

*    To the person saying to mine this country - shame on you. We don't need hundreds of millions of dollars going into our economy each year. Mining will destroy 0.01 per cent of our land and will hurt our already struggling farmers. Keep New Zealand clean and green,

*    In/bin in Saturday's paper about folk who write Xmas cards like texts. What about receiving letters that don't start with the person's name or finish with a name! It's rude.

*    To the person who would rather drink and drive than get a taxi - If you get caught the fine and costs will far exceed any taxi fare. It's selfish people like you that put lives at risk.

*    What a fantastic Santa's cave in Taradale. A real treat for young and old. Well done Taradale. Children loved it. Dot

On Friday night I ended up in HB Hospital A & E. Ambulance crew and hospital team all need the highest praise and a wage rise. Thank you all. Dave.

*    Can anyone explain why we don't sterilise adults that kill babies, children and assault woman? If CYFS takes your child off you, you deserve to be sterilised! MJ Domestic violence is so real in our community. It saddens me what's been happening lately regarding one family from my side of town. Had this been corrected years ago when they were younger they may not have ended up the way they are now. Our justice system set them up to fail by not fixing the problems and by allowing them back into our community with no follow up or support groups. How else do they learn? Jail has done nothing for them other then make them more vicious and full of hate, and the victims are the ones closest to them - partners and children. Enough is enough.

*    Re recycling and broken bottles, I had the same problem but it has been solved by numerous complaints to Trans Pacific All Brite, they probably won't publish the manager's name and number but if you text me I will supply it for you. Text 0210541202. Re election: 1 million people didn't vote. Half the reason why we are like this. IH

*    Re anti abortionists: Getting pregnant and having an abortion is not a joke, and I disagree with not consulting parents. Those parents that don't know about their kids having an abortion might want grandchildren and you're taking that away from them. I'm a grandmother and I love it. Michelle

*    Region slumps! Not surprised, with $9 million spent on pokies. Heaven help this region.
