*   Please leave the cones up Shakespeare Rd. They stop the hoons haring up and down at all hours.
*   Napier and Hastings hospitals did not amalgamate - the Government closed Napier's. What else did you expect?
*   Hearing lots of negative comments about Poms' new rugby jersey. I reckon it's a
great compliment to want to look like the best rugby team in the world - the All Blacks.
*   Re the person complaining about the nurse. Cheeky. Nurses are busy and yes, they are there to help. But surely you could have done it? Shame on you.
*   I frequently have to drive down Gascoigne St and feel sympathy for land owners who have lost street parking. But drivers who feel unsafe on the roadway should sell their cars and cut up their driving licences. There's nothing unsafe about the roadway.
*   I see the chap who did the tagging in Hastings cannot pay reparation. As a taxpayer and ratepayer, I think he should go to jail till he works out a way to repay ratepayers. If it takes him 10 years, so be it.
*   Howard Bott: You hit the nail on the head. Removing GST on fresh fruit and veges will cost heaps and have hardly any effect on people's diet. Maybe GST should be increased on fast food instead?
*   Re footpath spitting. Treat it the same as depositing body waste from the other end on the footpath. Better still, treat it as they do in Singapore: $1000, $2000, $5000 maximum fine for first, second, third convictions. DBS
